The 18th of May saw IMBA-UK chairman Mark McClure and trail adviser Karl Bartlett set out to Zurich, Switzerland to meet with members of the newly formed IMBA-Europe group.
Over 30 individuals representing 14 countries met at the scenic Hotel Uto Klum to discuss the future direction of IMBA-Europe .
The success of IMBA Europe’s efforts will be tied to the on-the-ground implementation of fun and sustainable mountain-bike trails, and to that end Trail Solutions will have a large role in developing model trail systems in Europe.
Trail Solutions staff Chris Bernhardt and Shane Wilson were on hand to discuss how trailbuilding is a method to implement IMBA’s mission and to consider projects and partnerships with the many trail consultants/contractors and landowners present.
The organisation will also seek to have influence in the European Parliament shaping the future of MTB access and provision in the region.
